Renew

Wheeling Evangelical Free Church began meeting in 1956. The church was planted for the purpose of reaching the lost and making disciples of Jesus Christ. Over the years members were gathered, a building and additions were constructed, the name was changed, and programs have come and gone all for the sake of the Gospel. God has been faithful to sustain this Gospel-work for 60 years. A generation spans 20 years. For Our Saviour, 2016 marks the beginning of a fourth generation for our church. Renew is a call to join together to make our next generation as successful as our previous three. To do this, we will recommit to our priorities of reaching our community and making disciples for another generation.

Campaign

A renewed commitment to discipleship. We will challenge each individual in our church to take the next step as a disciple of Jesus. Attend church regularly, grow in Christian fellowship through groups, become a disciple-maker by serving in ministry.

A renewed commitment to purpose. We will clearly focus the ministry of the church on the Great Commission. Our leaders will evaluate our ability to make disciples and align every aspect of ministry including programs, budget, and structure to further this purpose.

A renewed commitment to place. We will participate in a capital fund campaign with the goal or raising funds beyond our normal ministry expenses for necessary maintenance and renovations to our facility. 23 years ago our church embraced a capital drive to build our sanctuary and fellowship hall. These updates will ensure our church building continues to be a valuable base for ministry to the Northwest suburbs.
