Prayer Guide – Day 2

The following reading and prayer prompts are meant to serve as a jumping off point as you spend time in prayer today.

Read Titus 2

Pray From Titus 2

• Praise God for older, more mature, seasoned saints (v. 2-3). Ask God what you should be learning from them.
• Pray for a strong work ethic that glorifies God and blesses other people (v. 9-10).
• Look to the second coming of Jesus Christ. Pray that our church would encourage one another to live as residents of this world, who are truly citizens of heaven (v. 13-14).

Personal Prayer

• Pray for your regular study of the Bible. Ask God to use what he is showing you and teaching you from his Word to be a blessing and encouragement to others.
• Thank God for his provision for you financially. If you have needs, bring them to him by faith. Seek his assessment of your financial management and generosity.

Prayer for Our Church

• Pray that we would place a greater priority on discipleship. Pray, specifically, that connections would be made between older men and younger men, and older women and younger women.
• Pray that God would bring more people to join as members of our church.

Prayer for the World

• Plead with God for the strength, endurance, and faith of Christians imprisoned for preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.
• Pray for conversions through creative evangelistic strategies such as reaching people through social media and broadcasts in countries hostile to the gospel.
