The following reading and prayer prompts are meant to serve as a jumping off point as you spend time in prayer today.
Read Titus 1
Pray From Titus 1
- List promises God makes, thanking him for them (v. 2).
- Ask for a similar ongoing transformation through the gospel that Paul says elders must display (v. 8).
- Seek spiritual discernment from the Holy Spirit, through the Bible, with humility (v. 15).
Personal Prayer
- Confession: Review yesterday. Where did you disregard the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23?
- Repentance: Take that review and bring it to God with heartfelt remorse, desiring to trust the Spirit for growth in grace.
- Assurance of Pardon: Believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has cleansed you from sin and you no longer bear its condemnation.
Prayer for Our Church
- Pray that our elders, staff, and other leaders would be unified, wise, and serve with conviction and humility.
- Pray for new people to feel that there is a place for them in this church family.
Prayer for the World
- Pray for children born into poor, oppressed, and unsafe conditions.
- Pray for Bible translation so that more and more people can have a copy of God’s Word in their native language.
